You don’t have to be a coupon nut to save your family money.
Last week I got an email from Kelly from California asking me how I manage time clipping coupons and still have a life. I let her in on a little secret that I don’t clip every coupon just the stuff my family uses everyday.
I also went on to tell her that I use coupons for these certain products and bulk up when they are on sale. Last year I bought 20 large bottles of Irish Spring body wash. They were on sale and I had coupons and I think I ended up paying 75 cents for each bottle.
I still have some left and that was almost a year ago. It was a single purchase and I didn’t have to go crazy clipping coupons. I have done the same for things like Reynolds wrap, frozen food, canned food and many other items. Sometimes my house is full of things like zip lock bags and dryer sheets. It is all stuff I use every day.
If you just did this for your personal items you can save a small fortune. I am lucky to have a CVS, Duane Reade, Rite Aid and a BJ’s wholesale close to my house. This means there is something always on sale somewhere and if I miss it in one store I can bet that another store will have it a week later. This also brings up a second chance to bulk up on a deal or maybe even a better savings.
Yes you can easily go crazy and clip every coupon you see and file them away but you don’t have to live that life if you don’t want to. Most of the items I use are from Proctor and Gamble. In my weekly flyer they usually deliver the P&G savings in the bag with the rest of the coupons. Since I usually buy these products I can always save money. I also informed my neighbors to save their P&G coupons for me and they do. When the flyers get delivered I end up with 5-10 books every time.
If you don’t get this P&G moneysaver delivered you can get the same coupons here.
